HTC U11 Squeezable Smartphone revealed in India for Rs 51,990

HTC launched its new flagship smartphone HTC U11.The smartphone comes with the Edge Sense feature and it will be available in five colours options such as Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red colour.It is priced at $749 (roughly Rs. 48,000), in euro but in India, it’s expected to be priced at around Rs 50,000.

 

 

HTC U11 SPECIFICATIONS

The HTC U11 sports 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) Super LCD display with the protection of  3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.It is powered by  2.45GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and Adreno 540 GPU coupled with 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage.It also supports  MicroSD card which is expandable up to 2TB.But in Indian only 6GB RAM and 128GB is available.The handset measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 169 grams.

In terms of optics it has a 12-megapixel rear camera with a 1.4μm pixel, ultra spread autofocus, BSI sensor, OIS, f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, slow-motion, and 4K video recording.At the another side HTC U11 has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.The rear camera comes with a bunch of features like Face Detection, Pro mode with manual control, 32-second long exposure, and RAW format support, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse.As for the front camera,  it has a feature like 4K recording, auto focus, HDR photo, LED Flash and face detection and advanced HDR settings such as HDR+, Smart Video Zoom, 3D Audio and Hi-Res recording features.

The rear camera comes with a bunch of features like Face Detection, Pro mode with manual control, 32-second long exposure, and RAW format support, HDR Boost, Panorama, and Hyperlapse.As for the front camera,  it has a feature like 4K recording, auto focus, HDR photo, LED Flash and face detection and advanced HDR settings such as HDR+, Smart Video Zoom, 3D Audio and Hi-Res recording features.

HTC U11 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC Sense, HTC Edge Sense, and HTC Sense Companion.Inside the body, it packs with 3000 mAh of battery with the support of Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which claims to deliver a talk time of up to 24.5 hours and standby time of up to 14 days.

Connectivity options includes dual sim 4G VoLTE,GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), and NFC support.And sensors option includes Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Motion G-sensor, Compass sensor, Gyro sensor, Magnetic sensor and fingerprint sensor.

The HTC U11 also sports IP67 water and dust resistance and supports two AI assistants – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.As for audio t comes with HTC USonic earbuds with active noise cancellation, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition, 3D audio recording with four microphones, and Hi-res audio certified.

Coming to the most interesting feature of  HTC U11 is is the pressure-sensitive or squeezable frame of the device that is meant to perform certain actions upon putting some pressure. It would help take photos, open apps, activate voice control and do more by the same squeezing action on the frame of the device.
